Tom Joyce has been with the CSO since 1995 as a trombonist, and since 2010 as the Personnel Manager. He completed his graduate studies in trombone at both the New England Conservatory and Boston University. The CSO was his first full-time orchestra position, and he liked Charleston so much that he has decided to stay with us for 25 years.

Tom is married to the CSO’s principal Violist, Jan-Marie Joyce, and met her at her audition to be in the orchestra. Together they have three children: Anthony, Emma, and Kenneth.
