ANNOUNCING OUR 2023-2024 SEASON!
This is your Charleston Symphony, and this is your music!
The 2023-2024 season brings countless reasons for excitement. We have much-anticipated guest conductors, extraordinary guest artists, and concerts full of delightful music that we’ve selected just for you. Combined with our talented musicians on the stage of our world-class performance hall, the 2023-2024 season will allow you to experience the CSO as never before!
The Masterwork concerts will be led by phenomenal guest conductors performing works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Brahms, Verdi, Holst, Dvořák, and more, featuring:
- Thomas Wilkins, who is the celebrated Principal Conductor of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
- Pinchas Zukerman, acting as both a conductor and violin soloist in one concert.
- Carl St.Clair – a protégé of Leonard Bernstein.
- Gerard Schwarz, returning after his memorable appearances last season with the CSO.
- Tito Muñoz, a multiple prizewinner and current Phoenix Symphony Music Director.
- Lina Gonzales-Granados, the talented and highly praised Resident Conductor of the LA Opera.
- Yuriy Bekker – your very own CSO Artistic Director and Concertmaster.
A Charleston tradition for all ages, Holiday Pops returns in December, with special guests to celebrate the season with holiday tunes. In January, the worlds of music and movement will merge to bring you Cirque de la Symphonie – aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers, and strongmen will share the stage with the CSO in choreographed splendor. For our closing series concert, a program celebrating the influential Harlem Renaissance cultural movement of the 1920s and 1930s.
